Single or two way communicationThe ZP470 Radio Loop Modules and their associated equipment enable wireless fire alarm devices to be controlled directly from the ZP hardwired loop. Two versions of the unit are available, the ZR471 providing one way communication from devices to module and installed where alarm sounders are to be hardwired and the ZR472 for two way communication where alarm sounders and interface units are to be included within the wireless part of the system. The loop module provide a seamless interface between the hardwired components, connected directly to the ZP loop wiring and their own wireless devices. Seamless addition of wireless devicesEach wireless device, controlled through the ZP470 has its own unique address, with which the main fire alarm control panel communicates, providing the same system facilities as directly wired devices. Subject to location, any number from the total of 127 loop device addresses can be wireless devices, controlled through one or more Radio Loop Modules. A full range of wireless detection and alarm devices is available, including optical smoke sensors, thermal sensors and manual call points. The two way version of the module enables alarm sounders and interface units to be added to the wireless part of the installation. Full flexibilityWireless devices are featured in many fire detection and alarm systems, specified where the installation of hard wiring would be difficult or impossible to complete, decorative finishes to the interior of the protected building preclude wiring runs or where the time scales to complete installation are minimal. The ZP470 allows the system designer full flexibility in nominating which devices on the loop are to be hardwired and which are to be wireless. |
